1945
Introduction of Macadamia
The macadamia nut tree was introduced in Kenya
1992
Establishment of Farm Nut Co
Farm Nut Co. was established for Exporting Macadamia Nut In Shell.
1994
Established - Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd
Farm Nut Co was later renamed to Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd. In addition, Equatorial nuts processors Ltd also began purchasing macadamia Nut In Shell (NIS) from smallholder farmers and co-operatives. In the same year, Equatorial nuts processors Ltd began processing Macadamia nuts for export.
2000
Expansion to process other nuts
Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd expanded into processing of Cashew nuts and Peanuts through it's established networks of smallholder farmers and co-operatives for export. In mid 2000's Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd diversified its markets to establish a local retail nut sector in Eastern Africa
2010
Diversification into nutritional foods and cotton production
Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd expanded into production of fortified blended food and cotton. In the same year Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd expanded it's nutritional portfolio to include energy drinks, healthy soups and porridges.
